Our home is located on a private lane at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, surrounded by mature trees and backing up to a year-round creek with a private sandy beach. Every room has floor-to-ceiling windows that keep this surrounding landscape constantly present.
Designed and built in 1965 by Tom Tomasi, a prominent Santa Rosa architect who created it specifically for his own family and lived there for 60 years, Wildwood is a Frank Lloyd Wright–inspired vision of California living. We are only the second family to own this beautiful home which has been featured multiple times in Sunset Magazine and celebrated for its handcrafted detail and architectural beauty. The original stone fireplace still anchors the space, floor-to-ceiling windows in every room bring the outside in, and the front door — hand-carved by Tomasi himself with redwood, chisels, and a simple pocket knife — is still the first thing you touch when you arrive.
Wildwood stretches to fit the trip. With four bedrooms (flexible sleeping for up to 10), the creek, the decks, and the hot tub to spread out, it's an easy fit for a family gathering, a milestone birthday, or a bachelorette weekend. But it's also a wonderful choice for your romantic get-a-way or intimate writer's retreat. Suddenly, the 2,600 square feet home feels intimate with cozy quiet mornings under the oaks or by the fire.

Such a rare find to be able to stay in an authentic mid-century house with such beautiful original details. The creek is peaceful to sit by and great for discovering special elements of nature with our daughter.
The flow between inside and outside is seamless, the creek is steps away, and the hot tub was perfect at the end of the day. There's a stillness to this place that's hard to describe but easy to feel when you're here.
Had the BEST time staying at Kris and Billy’s property in Santa Rosa! Gorgeous house that had everything we could’ve imagined. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were so beautiful. Lovely, communicative hosts as well!
We were a large group celebrating a friend's baby shower and this was a perfect place for a group of 10 old friends to reunite and relax for the weekend! We brought in a chef who loved the kitchen set up to prepare a large meal and we enjoyed chilling and chatting on the large comfy couches. All the beds and linens were high quality and comfortable. Rare and wonderful find! I would love to come back! And location is practical while still feeling secluded in nature/peace.
We had such a wonderful stay! The property was absolutely beautiful, maintained, and even more lovely in person. The area was incredibly peaceful and serene, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Our hosts were wonderful to communicate with from start to finish. They were incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating, especially with their flexibility around check-in and check-out. Beautiful property, peaceful location, and genuinely kind and accommodating hosts. We would absolutely love to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
